CDL holders cannot elect BDI to remove points. You can only take BDI if court-ordered by a judge. The BDI election option is only for regular licenses. Contact the court for your options.

You must elect to take BDI with the clerk of court within 30 days of your citation date. After 30 days, you lose the option to use BDI for point removal. You must also complete the course by your court deadline.

You can take BDI once every 12 months (from violation date, not calendar year) and maximum 5 times in your lifetime. If you've used your annual election, you cannot use BDI for point removal until 12 months pass.
