How Long Does The Course Take, And Can I Complete It Over Several Days?

Per state law and TDLR regulations, our Defensive Driving course is designed to meet the 6 hour requirement. Each lesson has a timer to ensure you meet those requirements. You can log in and out as desired, with your progress being automatically saved.

How Do I Know If I Am Eligible To Attend TX Defensive Driving?

In Texas, you can attend traffic school for ticket dismissal if you have not attended a defensive driving course for a violation in the past 12 months. This is based on the violation date of the ticket, not when you last completed a course or if you received an extension.
When paying your fine at the court, ask if you're eligible for traffic school. If approved, the court will inform you. Be sure to request traffic school, as it often cannot be added later.

Can I Start Without Paying?

Yes! You don't pay until you pass! Start the course for free, and you'll only be asked to make a payment after you've successfully completed all course materials. This way, you can make sure the course works for you before making any financial commitment.

What Is The Total Cost Of The Traffic School, And Are There Any Additional Fees?

The course fee is $31, which you only pay after passing the final exam. Optional purchases include a Physical Certificate of Completion and Type 3A Driver Record for added convenience.

Yes, the course works perfectly on phones, tablets, and desktops. No special software or downloads required.

When Will I Get My Certificate Of Completion?

After you complete the course, you can download a certificate of completion. We will also email you a copy of your certificate. It may take 2 to 5 business days before your court can validate your certificate on the Texas TDLR certificate system.
You must sign your certificate of completion before turning it into the court. The court will not accept it without a signature. The court will use our electronic submission to verify your certificate.
